Questions about the Library’s Reopening
What is the status of the Library Building reopening?
As of Monday, June 15, the Library will be offering Contactless Pick-Up services. The building remains closed to the public.
We are working on a plan to allow for limited browsing of our collection in the building. All CDC and Pennsylvania Health Department regulations will be followed. We anticipate allowing scheduled visits and computer use beginning the week of July 20.
What are the Library’s hours?
Hours the Library will be staffed and taking phone calls: Please leave a message if we do not answer and we will return your call.
- Monday – Friday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Saturday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Hours for Contactless Pick-Up services:
- Wednesday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Thursday 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Friday 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
How does Contactless Pick-Up work?

Can I return my books?
Yes, the outside book drop will remain open for return items.
Please note: it may take up to a week for your items to be checked in, as returned items will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before being checked in by staff.
Is there still a Summer Learning Program?

Can I place holds on an item?
Yes. You may place holds in your account from the library catalog. You can also request an item by calling 215-947-5138 during our open hours, emailing us at [email protected], or place a hold online. Here is video tutorial on how to place holds online.
How do I Cancel a Hold
You can log into your account from our home page and cancel holds from there. Here is a short video showing how to cancel holds.
Will my Library materials accrue fines?
No. We will not be charging fines during this time.
What are the Library’s available services while the building is closed?
The Library has many eResources to offer during our closure, including job resources, extending education, eBooks and audio books, streaming services, etc.
