“Imagine Your Story…” Podcast: Episode 1
In the world of Youth Services, we imagined a summer where we delight in reading your stories in a podcast format for our community.
We haven’t received any stories from you yet (see information after the audio on how to submit), BUT we have lots of past Write & Illustrate Contest-winning books here in the library! What a great time to highlight them!
Tonight’s podcast episode features:
- The Golden Apple by Chloe Rudderow, one of the fourth grade winners from 2017
- Run! The Arctic Fox by Alexander Chen, one of the fourth grade winners from 2018
- The Prank War at Camp Firewood by Kami Rackley, one of the third grade winners from 2017
Click on the book title if you would like to go to our catalog and place the book on hold. The illustrations are wonderful!
Imagine Your Story Read by Your Librarians podcast, episode 1
Do you like to write? Would you like for us to read your story, as theatrically as possible, in a future episode? Send it to us!
Submissions should be short stories and can be about anything you choose. Please refrain from offensive language and subject material. It’s a family show! Children are particularly encouraged to submit their stories, but we will accept stories from patrons of any age. Have fun and get creative!
Submit your stories to Vanessa Nelson, Head of Youth Services, via email at hvlys@mclinc.org. Use the subject line “Imagine Your Story Submission.” If you would like us to share who wrote the story, please include your first name and age (both optional). Writers may also be interviewed during the podcast about their stories. If you are interested in being interviewed, please also include a phone number where we can reach you.
