The CICG is a fascinating microcosm of the Continental Army and offers valuable insights into both the man who was “first in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen”, as well as the every-day soldiers who followed him into battle. The CICG’s story takes us from a treason plot to the brightest American victories. Anecdotes, primary sources, and historic reproductions will all be shared.
