This presentation highlights Philly’s fantastic public art and sculpture, and delves into why we have so much of it! From Joanie on a Pony near the Art Museum to the Irish Memorial at Front Street, you’ll marvel at the unique art and sculpture available to us every day. Plus you’ll learn about people like Charles Willson Peale, Henry Ossawa Tanner and Dr. Albert Barnes.
Presenter Jim Murphy is a certified Philadelphia tour guide and author of more than 55 articles on Philly’s heroes and historic sites for the Society Hill Reporter and Queen Village Neighbors Association Magazine. He is also the author of Real Philly History, Real Fast.
