Reading Buddies

Join us for HVL’s new Reading Buddies program, perfect for new and practicing readers!

Weekly on Thursdays, from 4:30-5:30 pm
February 3, 10, 17. 24; March 3, 10, 24, 31; April 7

During each Reading Buddies session, young readers will be partnered with a teen volunteer. Together, buddies will choose books, find a cozy spot in the library, and take turns reading aloud. This program is for new, aspiring readers as well as kids looking to practice their reading skills.

Participants will meet in the Children’s area to be partnered with a high school student volunteer. HVL Youth Services staff will be available to assist and encourage.

Recommended for students in grades K-3.

Registration for each session is required. Please register each child separately.
