Following the Friends Business Meeting, Jim Rubillo will present Philadelphia 1918: The Great Influenza.

The Spanish Flu of 1918 killed between 50 and 100 million died worldwide in the worst epidemic in
modern times. Philadelphia was the American city with the highest death toll. For one hellish month, the city and its environments were in a state of panic and fear. This session explores the day-to-day saga of this frightening period in the city’s history.
