Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Thursday, October 12 at 7:30 pm
Open to all
The meeting is held in the Community Room and via Zoom. RSVP for the link.

Children’s Programs:

  • Preschool Storytimes on Monday mornings at 10:30 am. Recommended for ages 3-6 with a caregiver. *No Storytime October 2*
  • Toddler Storytimes on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am. Recommended for ages 1-2 with a caregiver. *No Storytime October 3*
  • Chess Club on Wednesday, October 11 at 4:45 pm. Must know how to play chess. Registration is full.
  • Solar Eclipse Party on Saturday, October 14 at Noon. Click here for more info and to register.
  • Book Worm Book Club: My Kingdom of Darkness on Wednesday, October 18 at 4:45 pm. Click here for more info and to register.
  • League of Book Lovers: Scaredy Cat on Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30 pm. Click here for more info and to register.
  • Halloween Storytime on Saturday, October 28 at 10:30 am. Recommended for families with young children (toddlers-preschoolers). Children are encouraged to come in costume.

  • Tai Chi on Thursday mornings at 11:15 am. Each class is $7 per participant.
  • Sit and Knit Club on Monday, October 9 and 23 at 1:30 pm. Please bring your own supplies.
  • Evening Book Club: The Book of Lost Friends on Monday, October 9 at 7 pm. Books are available for checkout at the circulation desk.
  • Adult Social Group: Game Night on Monday, October 16 at 6:30 pm. Click here to RSVP.

Friends Events:

  • Friends Business Meeting on Thursday, October 5 at 12:30 pm: Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library welcome you to their monthly meeting! We’d love to have you share new ideas and learn all about us. Following the Friends Business Meeting, go on a FREE “Staycation” with Karen & Howard Schwartz as they share adventures of their recent SOUTHWEST AFRICAN SAFARI TRIP.
  • Help out your local library! Donate $5 at the circulation desk to receive a 25% off discount shopping pass (exclusions apply) good for One Day Only – Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Click here for more info.
  • Friends Book Sale on October 28 from 10 am to 2 pm – Join the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library as they host their monthly book sale in their book room. Stop by to check out a wide variety of nonfiction and fiction books. Choose from cookbooks to children’s books, science fiction to poetry, biographies to modern fiction, DVDs, CDs and much more. New items are added every month. All proceeds benefit the Huntingdon Valley Library.

Movies are free and open to the public. Held in the Community Room. Movies are sponsored by the Friends of
Huntingdon Valley Library who generously pay for our movie licenses.
