Huntingdon Valley Library and Literacy Council of Norristown Begins Literacy Program for Adults

Huntingdon Valley Library and Literacy Council of Norristown are pleased to announce a new English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) literacy initiative for Adults in Lower Moreland Township. ESL students will be matched with the trained tutors and learning pairs will work up to 3 hours per week together on a learning journey overseen by LCN.

Our tutors can help adult learners:
– Prepare for their GED
– Learn English
– Learn basic reading, writing and math skills

All tutoring will take place at Huntingdon Valley Library.

The dates for the next Tutor training are as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 12, 3 to 5 pm, Orientation
  • Thursday, September 14, 3 to 5 pm, Training
  • Tuesday, September 19, 3 to 5 pm, Training
  • Thursday, September 21, 3 to 5 pm, Training
  • Tuesday, September 26, 3 to 5 pm, Training
