Pathfinders: Women Artists of the Delaware Valley, Tues., Mar. 8, 7 pm
Learn about the creative spirits who forged art careers despite societal barriers to the “weaker sex.” Inspiring women such as Cecelia Beaux, the first female faculty member at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Violet Oakley, designer of the incredible Capitol Building murals in Harrisburg, led the way. This is a detailed view of early art “herstory” in the Philadelphia region.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library.
Please RSVP for the Zoom Link. Link will be resent the day of the event.
