Imagine Your Story Read by Your Librarians
Send us your stories!
This year’s summer learning theme is “Imagine Your Story,” and we would like to highlight your stories on a podcast throughout the summer. In order to do that, we need your help!
Do you like to write? Would you like to hear your story read, as theatrically as possible, by our Youth Services staff? Send it to us!
Submissions should be short stories (no longer than 5 pages) and can be about anything you choose. Please refrain from offensive language and subject material. It’s a family show! Children are particularly encouraged to submit their stories, but we will accept stories from patrons of any age.
Submit your stories to Vanessa Nelson, Head of Youth Services, via email at [email protected]. Use the subject line “Imagine Your Story Submission.” If you would like us to share who wrote the story, please include your first name and age (both optional). Writers may also be interviewed during the podcast about their stories. If you are interested in being interviewed, please also include a phone number where we can reach you.
Tune in on our website for the first podcast on Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 pm when we will feature stories written by past Write & Illustrate Contest winners.
Have fun and get creative!
The Summer Learning Program is sponsored by the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library, Lee’s Hoagie House of Southampton, The Men & Boys Store, and Sushiman.
