Imagine Your Story – Summer Learning Program

The Painting with Kathleen classes have been some of the library’s most popular. Now, our resident artistic instructor shares drawing tutorials for two different skill levels.

Beginner

Learn how to draw cute animals using the Kawaii style. You will learn how to draw an alpaca, a manatee, and a purrmaid (aka cat mermaid).

Class is recommended for youth entering grades K-2.

Intermediate

Learn how to draw the human face. It’s easier than you think using the technique that instructor Kathleen shares! (Part 2 of this tutorial, teaching you how to draw a human form, will be released later toward the end of our Summer Learning Program. Stay tuned for the date/time.)

Class was created for students in grades 3-5, but older students (and adults!) may enjoy it as well.

The Summer Learning Program is sponsored by the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library, Lee’s Hoagie House of Southampton, The Men & Boys Store, and Sushiman.
