May 31 Young Adult Book Club

Join us after school for the Young Adult Book Club! We will discuss realistic fantasy novel The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, which was chosen by the group at the April book club.

Friday, May 31
3:30-4:30 pm

Nineteen-year-old returning champion Sean Kendrick competes against Puck Connolly, the first girl ever to ride in the annual Scorpio Races, both trying to keep hold of their dangerous water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. 

Check out a copy of the book at our Circulation Desk any time before the event. The group will also enjoy light refreshments and an activityYABC 5-2019

Open to students in grades 6-12.

Note to parents: This book club is open to students in grades 6-12, but all books chosen are Young Adult. Some content may be too mature for younger readers. The Scorpio Races is recommended for ages 13 and up. Please email Youth Services Associate Beth at hvlysa@mclinc.org with any questions.
