April 2019 Calendar of Events

How can you help us celebrate National Library Week April 7-13 and National Poetry Month?  That’s easy…just visit the Library!  We have another FULL calendar of events for all ages and interests. Poetry writing, French movies, multiple book clubs, the Friends’ Used Book Sale, and the Township’s Spring Egg Hunt are all planned for April.

Community Event:

Lawn between the Lower Moreland High School and Library – in case of RAIN, we will use the Red Lion Gym, Community Room and Library children’s department.

Parking available at Library and High School

Start Times:

Ages birth to 3 – 10:30 am
4 & 5 – 10:35 am
6 & 7 – 10:40 am
8 to 10 – 10:45 am

  • Friends Meeting on Thursday, April 4 at 12:30 pm, followed by “NYC Connections to PA” with Steve Irwin
  • Used Book Sale Hours:
    • Tuesday, April 9 – Members’ Only Preview. Join at the door for $15.
    • Wednesday, April 10 – 10 am to 9 pm
    • Thursday, April 11 – 10 am to 9 pm
    • Friday, April 12 – 10 am to 5 pm
    • Saturday, April 13 – 10 am to 4 pm

  • In May, the Youth Services Department will be busy, busy, busy preparing for Summer Reading Program!  The theme this year is “A Universe of Stories” where we will explore and learn and discover all we can about Space!

  • Knitting Club every Monday at 3:30 pm
  • Poetry Writing Course with Lynn Levin starts Monday, April 1 at 7 pm. Continues Monday, April 8 and 15.
    Poetry and Music Cabaret on Friday, April 26 at 7 pm.
  • Chair Yoga with Theresa on Tuesdays at 10:15 am. Drop-in for $7 through April 30. Stay tuned for a new course with Nadene in May!
