Join us for the next in our new series of Middle School STEAMers events! All of these after school events will include STEAM-based activities (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math).

Noon-1 pm

Drop in after early dismissal from Murray Avenue School for some cool construction! Enjoy delicious pizza and Steamers Building Nov 2018 channel your inner architect while participating in building challenges with playing cards, blocks, paper, and other materials.

The Challenges:

  • Ancient Tower (with index cards)
  • Bridge (with popsicle sticks and a crevasse)
  • House of Cards (with playing cards)
  • Building Blocks (with a really heavy book)
  • Toothpicks and Marshmallows (and an earthquake)

 

Open to youth in grades 6-8.
