So many events coming in the next few months, including the Spring Egg Hunt, Friends Used Book sale, Irish Music with Ian Gallagher, BINGO and the New York City Bus Trip. Spring Programs:

Monday, March 5 – Adult Book Club reads Amor Towles‘ A Gentleman in Moscow. More information. 6:30 pm.

Tuesday, March 6 – Green Up Your Clean Up DIY Workshop. More information and registration. 7 pm.

Tuesday, March 6 – Members’ Preview of the Friends of HVL Used Book Sale! 7 pm. Join at the door for $15.Monday, March 12 – Library LEGO Club for K-2 at 4:15 pm. Registration is required. More information about 2018 LEGO Clubs.

Tuesday, March 13 – Drop-in Craft for Youth Art Month! 3-5 pm in the children’s department.

Wednesday, March 14 – Library LEGO Club for grades 3-5 at 6 pm.

Thursday, March 15 – Mother Goose Time for babies and caregivers. 10:30 am.

Thursday, March 15 – Traditional Irish Music with Ian Gallagher. More information. 7 pm.

Sunday, March 18 – ACT Test Review Class with Blitz Tutoring. More information. 1 pm. $50, includes a binder with prep materials and a practice test.

Teen Events:

New Teen Driver Safety Course
Join PA Certified Driving Instructor Todd Avery to learn essential safety techniques. Open to new Teen drivers and their parents. Registration and parent participation are requested.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of Teens in grades 9-12 that meets once a month to brainstorm ideas, prepare for Teen events, or work on creative library projects.

College Applications: Write Them Right
Learn writing tips that will enable college admissions officers to discover more about you. Find out how to make your personality shine through your writing with award-winning writer, Linda George. This class is geared toward students in grades 10 and 11.

Surviving the College Application Process: A Parent Class
Want to learn how to help your high school student through the college application process? Middle School Book Club
Celebrate National Poetry Month with a discussion of Jason Reynolds’ novel in verse, Long Way Down. This book was recently named an Honor Book for three of the top youth book awards: John Newbery Medal, Coretta Scott King Book Award, and Michael L. Printz Award! Check out a copy at our Circulation Desk anytime before the event. The group will also participate in a fun activity and enjoy light refreshments. Open to students in grades 6-8.
