We had a wonderful time over the summer in our Teen Summer Reading Program and are planning to keep the fun going this fall with the following social and educational events. Please visit our online event calendar to register. We hope to see you soon!

Middle School Book Club

Open to students in grades 6-8.
Book discussion, activity and refreshments
Registration is requested.
Books can be borrowed ahead of time at the library Circulation Desk.

Fall book club meetings:

Super Sitter Babysitting Course

Open to ages 11-18.
Taught by Red Cross instructor Pat Antonacci.
$25 fee covers course workbook, handouts and certification.
Four-week course with classes held on Wednesdays (September 27 and October 4, 11 & 18) from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Must attend all four classes to receive certification.
Registration is required by September 15.
Registration for this course is now closed.

SAT and ACT Prep Courses

Open to students in grades 9-12.
Taught by Blitz Tutoring.
$100 course fee covers a binder with prep materials and a practice test.
Registration is required.

Fall 2-day Prep Courses:

  • SAT – Thursday, November 16 from 6:30-8:30 pm and Sunday, November 19 from noon-5 pm
  • ACT – Thursday, November 30 from 6:30-8:30 pm and Sunday, December 3 from noon-5 pm

YA Book Flick Friday

Friday, November 3 at 3 pm.
Open to Teens in grades 9-12.
Movie showing of Everything, Everything, based on Nicola Yoon’s popular young adult novel.
Light refreshments.
Registration is requested.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Open to Teens in grades 9-12.
Have fun and share ideas with library staff for upcoming Teen events, displays and the young adult collection.
All time spent on TAB business counts as volunteer hours.
Registration is required.
