What is Chanbara?

What is chanbara?  Chanbara is a safe, reality based, full contact padded weapons training program.  Participants enjoy learning how to spar in pairs and groups with padded weapons safely with out fear of injury.   Chanbara improves retention, overcomes challenges, motivates, improves relationships and teaches dynamically while making the learning fun!   Chanbara uses safe equipment and lets participants battle at 100% of their strength, power and capability with out risk of injury.  Chanbara complements all martial arts and physical arts techniques and styles.  It refines balance, rhythm, breathing, speed, hand and foot coordination – simultaneously!

Chanbara stresses fair play by giving players the responsibility of  making the call when they are contacted!  Participants find that honesty leads to more play time and arguments delay the fun!
