September Calendar of Events

September means school starts, the trees start showing their fall colors, and the library welcomes back Sunday hours. We had SO MUCH fun this summer with Summer Reading and we hope to keep the fun happening in September with events, programs, clubs, and workshops for all ages!  Visit the online event calendar to register, where needed.

Highlights for Children:

27th Annual Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest – Deadline for entries is October 21.  Start brainstorming today!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, September 28 at 6 pm. All ages welcome. Drop in to learn about Hispanic Heritage through crafts, games, and a snack.

New Mother Goose Time on Monday, September 18 with rhythm, rhymes and movement for babies up to 18 months with caregiver.

Story Times  on Saturday, September 23 with Miss Meg at 10:30 am, on Monday, September 25 for Preschoolers at 10:30 am, and on Tuesday, September 26 with Miss Vanessa for Toddlers at 10:30 am.

Block Party – Friday, September 15 at 10:30 for ages 2-5. Free play with blocks, people, and animals in the children’s area.

LEGO Club – Monday, September 18 at 6 pm for Grades K-2 and
Wednesday, September 13 at 6 pm for Grades 3-5. Registration required.

  • Middle School BOOK CLUB – Friday, September 15 at 3 pm – Counting by 7’s by Holly Goldberg Sloan
  • Super Sitter Babysitting Course – Wednesdays, September 27 and October 4, 11 & 18 from 6:30 to 8:30. Registration is required by September 15.  Open to ages 11 to 18.
