Million Minute Challenge
Participate in this year’s Summer Learning Program (through August 9) and join our Million Minute Challenge!
We have set a community goal of reading one million minutes during the 7-week program. It’s an ambitious goal, but only 600 people need to read 4 hours a week in order to accomplish it. We had one super reader last summer who logged 246 hours on their own, so together we can do this!
This challenge also includes a healthy reading competition between age groups. Who will read the most—children, teens, or adults? The winning team will earn something new for their area of the library.
Results of the team name vote are in!
- Children’s Team – Dumbledore’s Army
- Teen Team – All Booked Up
- Adult Team – Litwits
- Staff Team (we wanted to play too, but we can’t win prizes) – Name TBD
Minutes logged as of July 28: 159,890
- Dumbledore’s Army – 67,488
- All Booked Up – 66,331
- Litwits – 33,291
- Staff – 18,190
Watch our social media all summer long to see how we’re doing on our goal and which team is in the lead!
