Oct. 4 Young Adult Book Club

Young adult readers in grades 7-12, please join us for our first book club meeting of the year on Friday, October 4, at 3:30 pm.

Our first selection is I Am Still Alive, a survival thriller by Kate Alice Marshall. (publisher recommended age 12-18).YABC 10-2019 Cheryl Strayed’s Wild meets The Revenant in this heart-pounding story of survival and revenge in the unforgiving wilderness.

Stop by the circulation desk to pick up a copy of the book any time before the event. During book club we will have snacks, discussion and a book-related activity. The group will also vote on the book selection for December.

Open to students in grades 7-12.

I Am Still Alive started as a problem to solve: how would a teenage girl survive in the wilderness alone? From there it grew into a story about determination, loss, love, and revenge.
