Genealogy Basics – 3 part course starts May 21

  •  Tues., May 28 – Application of Genealogy Fundamentals
  •  Tues., June 4- Application of Genealogy Fundamentals

Class 1 – Genealogy Fundamentals

This session will focus on fundamentals of genealogical research with topics such as terminology, essential skills, what information to collect, where to start, evaluating evidence, recording research results, and introduction to both online and archival research.

Class 2 & 3 – Application of Genealogy Fundamentals

These sessions will focus on applying genealogy fundamentals from Session 1 to a variety of source types such as U.S. census records, PA death certificates, vital records (birth, death and marriage), civil war pensions, land records, and city directories.

Allen Male, member of the Old York Road Genealogical Society, is returning to again present this information.
