Join us for a movie night!

6:15-8:30 pm

Hang out with friends while enjoying pizza, popcorn, and other snacks. We will watch The Hate U Give on a big screen.

Based on Angie Thomas’ best-selling young adult novel, the movie tells the story of Starr Carter. Starr lives in two worlds: the poor, black neighborhood where she resides and the mostly white prep school she attends. This uneasy balance is shattered when she witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood friend by a PizzaPartyMovieNight 3-2019policeman. Facing pressures from all sides Starr must find her voice and stand up for what’s right. Starring Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, K.J. Apa, Common, and Anthony Mackie. 133 minutes. Open to students in grades 6-12.
