Feb. 8 Young Adult Book Club
Join us after school for the next Young Adult Book Club! We will discuss contemporary novel All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely.
Friday, February 8
3:30-4:30 pm
A lady tripping over Rashad at the store, making him drop a bag of chips, was what started it all. The cop just kept pounding him because it looked like he was stealing. And he was a black kid in baggy clothes. And that’s what Quinn, a white kid, saw. Quinn realizes he’s got to understand it, because, bystander or not, he’s a part of history.
Check out a copy of the book at our Circulation Desk any time before the event. The group will also enjoy light refreshments and an activity.
Open to students in grades 6-12.
