May means spring flowers, thunderstorms, graduations, and planning for Summer Reading (at least at our library). Never fear, while we slow down on children’s programs as we prepare for Summer Reading (kicking off Monday, June 26), we still have these great events:

  • Wednesday Library Yoga at 10:30 am
  • Friday Movies at 11 am – Here are the May Friday Movies
  • May 3 – NYC Bus Trip with the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library.
  • May 4 – AARP driver safety course with Mort Kushner
  • May 4 – Art House Confidential: Behind the scenes at Renew Theaters after the Friends meeting.
  • May 5 – Tatting 101 and the Poetry and Music Cabaret with Lynn Levin
  • May 8 – Computer Basics class with Marilyn
  • May 12 – Teen Advisory Board Meeting at 3 pm
  • May 13 – Rhythm Babies at 10:15 am
  • May 13 – CESOP Computer workshop featuring Genealogy
  • May 15 and 22 – Computer Help Desk with Marilyn at Noon
  • May 17 – Library Socrates Cafe. Discussing Climate Change at 10:30 am.
  • May 18 – Representative Murt constituent visit at 10 am
  • May 18 – SAT Prep Course (Learn more and register) at 6:30 pm
  • May 18 – Library Board Meeting at 7:30 pm
  • May 27-29 – Closed for the Memorial Day Weekend
  • June 1 – ACT Prep Course (Learn more and register) at 6:30 pm
  • June 3 – AARP Driver Safety Refresher Course at 10:30 am. Registration and payment required.
  • June 6 – Essential Oils for Summer a DIY workshops (learn more and register)
  • June 6-10 – Used Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of HVL
  • June 24 – Pennypack Walking Tour with Dr. David Robertson from the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust and David Rowland from the Old York Road Historical Society
  • JUNE 26 – SUMMER READING STARTS!
