Removing the “FUD” from the Electric Car

There is a great deal of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD) in much of the information released about modern electric cars.  In this talk Syd will address a brief history of the transition from electric to gas and now again from gas to electric automobiles.  He will cover the advantages and disadvantages of owning an electric car including the over hyped concept of “Range Anxiety.” Questions including cost of ownership, how green an electric car really is, and can you really do a road trip in an electric car will be answered.

Syd Weinstein retired as COO and CTO of PeopleMetrics.  He has been involved in technology his entire career.  Electric cars are one of his passions.  His first hybrid was the 2000 Toyota Prius.  His primary car,  “Tessie”, is a Tesla Model S90D purchased in 2015.  Syd, and his wife Michele, completed a 2,600-mile road trip in Tessie through the Midwest this past summer.
