Ahoy mateys!

Shiver me timbers, did we have fun on Monday at the Library!

International Talk Like a Pirate Day has become an annual celebration for the Children’s Department at Huntingdon Valley Library. Who doesn’t like to dress AND talk like a pirate for a day? Certainly I do!

The idea to celebrate came about to promote the awesome resource we have available to our Montgomery County patrons called Mango Languages. Mango has tutorials in 71 languages, including Pirate!

We keep it simple for our toddlers and preschoolers at our Pirate Party, and share some Pirate stories, songs and finger plays.
