Curious George’s 75th Birthday Party
We celebrated Curious George’s 75th birthday on Saturday at the Library! We had 10 stations for children to explore, and I think everyone had a blast being curious.
At the party you could:
play Feed George Some Bananas Game,
Yellow Hat Ring Toss,
or play a game of Curious George Tic Tac Toe.
You could visit the Curiosity Sensory Station to feel around inside a box and guess the object inside, and search for items in the Eye Spy bottles.
You could write down what you are curious about,
make a monkey craft
or build with blocks.
The Play-Doh station was a hit! This young man made a pizza
and this young lady made a rainbow laptop!
Children got to meet the most famous mischievous monkey in children’s literature
and get their picture flying high in the sky just like George.
It wouldn’t have been a birthday party without cake,
and of course, bananas!
Thank you to all who came out to celebrate Curiosity Day with us. A very special thank you to the Frank and Ellen Daveler Charitable Fund. Remember,
See you around the Library,
Miss Glynnis
